My dr actually called me at home tonight. Said he noticed my appt tomorrow wasnt until 4:30 and that is too late. He wants me there in the morning....

I was feeling pretty bad this evening. BP up 157/90 and very short of breath with a lingering headache that has only now gone away after a nice bath and nap.

I am just glad I am in the hands of a great dr. We recently moved (in Feb) from small townsville for this purpose --- to be closer to the better medical facilities....

still hoping to keep babies cooking as long as possible -- even if that means staying in hospital for awhile.

FRIDAY ---- SEPTEMBER 8

Ok we are 30 weeks and 1 day.

Babies are weighing in a little more than 3 pounds each right now. If I remember right, it was 3.4, 3.6 and 3.12. But that is not an exact science. It's very hard to get a good view of each baby in there. Still doc says those are great healthy weights.
Heart rates were like 147, 160 (boy) and 180.

BP was 140/87. Still borderline. But test results from the other day shows I am spilling traces of protein. So doc says I have mild pre-eclampsia. It's not progressed bad enough to force me to deliver today. And I don't have to be in the hospital yet which is good.

But -- he does need to monitor me very closely (twice a week) to watch for progression of the pre-eclampsia. He gave me a steroid shot today and I go back for a second one tomorrow. It is to help with maturing the babies' lungs in case we have to deliver early. He feels the pre-eclampsia probably wont stay this mild for six whole weeks and I will have to go early. BUT we never know what GOD has in store. So keep us in prayer.

I go back Monday for another appt. (tomorrow for shot and monday for appt)...

SATURDAY ---- SEPTEMBER 9th

BP today was 157/90 then 169/82 then back down to 140/82. He was not pleased. Strict bedrest -- can only get up for potty and food till Monday's appt. And he said "bring your stuff monday and be prepared to stay." Not sure what that means. Possibly just monitoring and getting meds to keep BP down and back home I am hoping.
I will have Josh continue to update the emails for me. The kids are going to Graham to stay at mom's for a few days this week. Keep the prayers coming.

PS-- the importance of keeping BP down when pg is bc when BP is too high (anything over 140/90) adequate oxygen and blood flow cannot get to the fetus(es). So that's why we have to be so careful.

Cara is the oldest. She is 14 and 1/2. She is a liver transplant survivor. She was born in 1991 with Biliary Atresia and had her first living related transplant (donated by mom) in August of 92. She later required a second transplant after many bouts of cholingitis in January of 1997. She is doing great. She is currently on growth hormone therapy which is helping her catch up. She is looking to get her braces removed in December. She has plans to work in the health profession with children.

Next in line is Blake who is 10 and acting sily in this pic. He is our math wiz and one of mom's best helpers.

Madison is 9 and is our beauty queen whose sole goal in life right now is to be rich and famous. lol kids.

Noah ~ Our youngest so far is 19 months old now. Born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, he has already had 2 open heart surgeries. He is a miracle and WE LOVE HIM SOOOO MUCH!!!

Shortly after relocating to a new town, Josh and I discovered we were pregnant. Surprised yes -- but even more when a few weeks later we discovered we were pregnant with TRIPLETS!!
We must have been asked a zillion times if we had taken fertility treatments. The answer (considering we had just relocated and were without a job and medical insurance) was a resounding NO! lol
But God chose to bless us and our already happy family welcomes the blessing.
Our triplets' actual due date is November 16, 2006, but doctor says they have to come by 36 weeks which is third week of October 2006.
